Maintaining accurate, error-free Bill of Materials information beyond PLM

With manufacturing units and Operations across the globe, our customer has adopted enterprise software platforms that are just right. PTC Windchill Suite has been used to manage all Product Development, Innovation and New Product Introduction processes.
Business Requirement/Scope
Mismatches in Bill of Materials information in PLM and ERP, has resulted in delays and losses across the product development and supply chain. It is evident that engineers, procurement teams and QA teams would need tools that can provide more insights in to effectivity and accuracy of information by accessing and comparing with information that is outside their operational system. The project invovled generating BoM Comparison report which would pull data from both the PLM and ERP systems. Further, users will be able to review the Differences between the data, for appropriate versions of Bill of materials.
